Spitalgate Church of England Primary School is situated on the west of the historic market town of Grantham.
The school is located on the Earlesfield Estate.
The school enjoys a large playground and playing field, edged with shrubs and trees. The current school site was established in 1977 after it was relocated from the Spitalgate area of Grantham. Improvements made to the school in recent years include the addition of a purpose built Nursery, a new ICT suite and new UPVC windows. Plans are currently underway to enhance the school environment further, including the development of the school playground, the creation of a new independent research area and the redecoration of all classrooms.
The school has the capacity to accommodate 210 full time pupils and 52 part-time Nursery children. Currently there is one class in the Foundation Stage, and five further classes in the main school.
The school is a Voluntary Controlled Church of England School.
The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promotes Christian values through the experiences it offers to all its pupils.
