All the children with a high green percentage will get to see a top drama theatre company perform in the school hall. This is an award winning drama compnay who have bookings in schools for a year in advance up and down the country. Spitalgate are very lucky to have a pre booked show.

Please be aware that the week beginning May 12th is vital for Year 6 children. It is very important that all Year 6's make sure they have 100% attendance during this week. Please see Mrs Fraser if you have any issues regarding your child's attendance during this important time.

Coaches for a variety of sports have been booked for the next school reward for all those children with a green percentage of 90% or better. Children will get 2 hours of sporting activity at the Table Tennis Centre on Thursday 3rd April from 1pm to 3pm. 

Year 3 & 4 will perform their Easter production on TUesday 1st April at 2pm to families and friends in the school hall.

To help raise money for Sport Relief, children at Spitalgate will be completing a mile by running (or walking) around the school field approx 6 times this coming Friday afternoon. 

Year 3 and 4 will perform a play to both parents and the school on Tuesday April 1st.  Staff have begun preparing the script this week.  The children will know their parts in March.

Details regarding Parent Meetings will go out shortly.  However the times and date has been fixed for Tuesday 25th March.

On Wednesday Febraury 20th from 2.30pm Spitalgate host a triangular football competition between Isaac Newton, Earl of Dysart and Spitalgate.  It is a 6 a side competition at the Meres Leisure Centre in the Table Tennis centre.

School re-opens on January 7th for the Spring Term.  Until then have a safe and wonderful festive season.

100 children will get the chance to see Jack and the Beanstalk at the theatre in Grantham on December 19th as a reward for their good behaviour this half term.

The next Bingo night in the school hall is set for Thursday 29th November at 7pm.  We look forward to seeing as many friends and families of Spitalgate as possible.

All children are welcome to audition for this year's school talent contest which will help raise funds for the national Children in Need event.  Mrs Smyth will begin auditioning from the middle of November in preparation for the big day on November 16th. Get practising!

The school played its first football match against a very good Isaac Newton team.  The team battled hard to lose narrowly by 4 goals to nil. 

Spitalgate won 4-2 against Long Bennington. This was a great achievement for the netball team which was having its first outing of the year.  Well done to all the children who took part and a big thank you to Mrs Fraser for her expert coaching.

The first Parent meetings of the new school year will take place this week on Wednesday.  There will be refreshments in the school hall.  The staff are looking forward to meeting all the parents and carers this week. 

This year's Harvest Festival will take place at 2.30pm on Tuesday October 9th at the Earlesfield Church of the Epiphany.

All parents and carers of Year 6 children are warmly invited to an Open evening on Thursday October 4th at 6pm.  This will be a very informative evening providing information about the year ahead, SATs and the transition to secondary school.
